MSPs are meant to be a cost-effective way to manage your IT infrastructure and support
If you feel like your managed service provider (MSP) is constantly nickel and diming you, you’re not alone. MSPs are meant to be a cost-effective way to manage your IT infrastructure and support, but that doesn’t mean they always stick to the agreed-upon terms. If you have a fixed fee agreement with your MSP, you should expect that most services and support should be included in that fee. If you’re consistently being charged for small extras or if you’re not sure what you’re paying for, it’s time to take a closer look. Ask your MSP to explain any charges that are outside of your support contract and don’t be afraid to negotiate for a better deal if necessary. A true MSP will include as much as possible in their fee and will be incentivized to ensure that everything is running smoothly. Remember, your MSP should be working for you, not the other way around.
